Presentation, performance, concert and show during Golden Drum
On the third day of the 17th Golden Drum, international advertising festival and media meeting, a famous artistic group LAIBACH will have its presentation and a show.
They are celebrating the 30th anniversary this year – with a special concert program LAIBACH REVISITED. They will present new versions of the legendary ‘industrial’ songs from the Laibach beginnings in the 80s. This program will be presented at the live concert in Portoroz Auditorium on Friday, October 8, in the evening. A few hours before, in the afternoon, they will have a presentation on why did they succeed.

The internationally well-known Slovenian band and cross media collective, formed in 1980 in the industrial mining town of Trbovlje (members are known under pseudonyms Eber, Saliger, Dachauer and Keller). In 1984 the group formed NSK (Neue Slowenische Kunst 1984 – 1992), a wider, non-formal organization and aesthetic movement, thus heavily marking the artistic creativity of the 1980’s and early 1990’s in Slovenia as well as former Yugoslavia and around the world.
Laibach are a true cultural ambassadors and one of the best-known Slovenian brands, highly influential within artistic and wider cultural-political scene. They have performed in more than 800 concerts around the world and released 20 albums up to date, with their album Opus Dei released by the renowned British music label Mute Records appearing in the famous selection of most important music albums in the world of all times (1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, Cassell Illustrated, 2005). Books were written and films were filmed about Laibach. They are working on variety of different projects, from electronica (LAIBACHKUNSTDERFUGE) to jazz (VOLKSWAGNER), currently preparing new record(s) to be released next year. More on Laibach»
