As we decided to develop Istanbul Advertising CUP and Summit into an intercontinental meeting point for young creatives, we realized we’re in a unique position – there’s no better place for new young creativity than where the continents with their diverse cultures touch together.
The Young Cup Competition running on Facebook opened its doors more than two weeks ago was so far visited by 11.327 people from 100 countries. 98 posters were submitted so far.
Young creatives under 27 years have an unique opportunity to create a poster on a given theme that promotes our Intercontinental Advertising Cup and Summit in Istanbul and win an unforgettable creative week in Istanbul with full participation for Istanbul Intercontinental Advertising Cup and Summit, lodging and internship in some of the largest advertising agencies – DDB&Co. and Markom Leo Burnett. One winner each week is chosen by the Facebook crowd and highly respected jury, each participating 50 % of votes. At the end three “lucky losers” will also be chosen by the jury, joining the winners in Istanbul.
Two rounds of competition are behind us. Winner of the first round with the key word “crash” was Manik N Ratan from Bangladesh. The winner of the second round with the key word “meeting” was Sasha Gupalo from Russia. The third round with “fusion” ends at the end of this week.
The Jury:
Jure Apih, CEO of Intercontinental Advertising Cup
Karpat Polat, President and Creative Director DDB & Co., Istanbul
Matevž Tadel, CERN, European Organization for Nuclear Research and University of California, San Diego.
