For the 3rd consecutive year Honda has won the prestigious award in Japan for the originality and styling of the BF45, (launched 1988) to BF60 (launched 2009) outboard engines. The Award will be presented by the Japanese Prime Minister, Kan Naoto, in November.
The Best 15 products are presented to the public in a Grand Award selection event. 2010 will mark the third year that Power Equipment products have received the Good Long Life Design Award. The Inverter Generator series EU9i, Eu24i, Eu28i (EU10i, EU26i and EU30is in Europe) won in 2008, and the mini Tiller series (F220 and FG201 in Europe) won in 2009.
The Good Long Life Design Award is the only comprehensive program for the evaluation and encouragement of design in Japan. It is awarded to products that have been either manufactured or sold where the basic fundamentals of the design have remained unchanged for more than ten years, proving they have timeless and unique qualities.
