1. Honda’s European Manufacturing Operations to Resume Normal Production
It is the intention of Honda of the UK Manufacturing Ltd (HUM) to return to their normal daily production plan during September 2011. This follows the period of parts supply interruption and reduced production levels following the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Associates and suppliers have all made tremendous efforts during this period to make this recovery possible.

2. Honda joins Clean Energy Partnership with 2 FCX Clarity vehicles
In May, Honda and the Clean Energy Partnership (CEP) announced that Honda will become the newest member of the CEP programme, providing further impetus to the hydrogen movement in Europe. CEP is Europe’s leading fuel cell vehicle and hydrogen infrastructure demonstration project, bringing together expertise from vehicle manufacturers, infrastructure and energy companies, and the German Government. Honda has been running fuel cell electric vehicles on European roads since 2009 and will support CEP activities with 2 FCX Clarity fuel cell electric vehicles.

3. New Public Hydrogen Station Adds Convenience for FCX Clarity Customers
Southern California’s network of hydrogen refueling stations continues to grow in Southern California with the opening of the world’s first station supplied by an existing hydrogen pipeline in May. The new Shell hydrogen station, located in Torrance, California, taps into an existing industrial hydrogen pipeline serving a nearby refinery. The station is also outfitted with multiple fuel dispensers, which allow for the simultaneous refueling of four vehicles in less than five minutes.

4. Honda begins European Demonstration Programme of Zero Emission EV-neo Electric Scooter
Honda announced that the EV-neo electric scooter will make its European debut in a Demonstration Programme in conjunction with Barcelona City Council which will get underway from the beginning of July 2011. EV-neo is a battery electric scooter with zero in-use CO2 emissions. Representing a significant development in its EV European activities, Honda will provide Barcelona City Council with 18 EV-neos for the period of one year.

5. Honda Signs E-KIZUNA Project Agreement with City of Saitama — CO2-Reduction Testing with Honda Smart Home System
In this project managed by the city of Saitama, Honda and Saitama will test the urban use of electric vehicles (EVs), plug-in hybrid vehicles and electric scooters. Honda also plans to construct and test its Honda Smart Home System in Saitama in the spring of next year. This comprehensive energy management system features several Honda-developed energy production technologies, for example, a gas engine cogeneration unit and a solar power system.

6. Honda demonstrates range of safety technologies at eSafety Challenge
In May, Honda Motor Europe participated in the 2011 eSafety Challenge event in Vienna, Austria. Honda demonstrated a range of advanced car and motorcycle safety technologies to an audience of over 300 participants, including journalists and senior officials from European safety authorities.Honda’s participation comes after the company became a full member of the organising association eSafety Aware, demonstrating Honda’s commitment to raising awareness and understanding of vehicle safety systems and technologies.

8. Honda to Expand Annual Motorcycle Production Capacity in India through Expansion of Second Plant and Construction of Third Plant
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (Pvt.) Ltd. (HMSI), Honda’s wholly-owned motorcycle production and sales subsidiary in India, announced plans to expand production capacity of its second motorcycle production plant, which is currently under construction, and to build a third motorcycle production plant to meet increasing demand in the rapidly growing motorcycle market in India.

9. HondaJet Progress exhibited at EBACE 2011, Geneva

10. Honda Performance Development’s CR-Z Racer at Le Mans
At this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours endurance race held in June, Honda’s CR-Z hybrid coupe featured in a special exhibition looking at the future of the legendary event.The organisers of Le Mans 24 Hours, the ACO (Automobile Club de l’Ouest), is committed to making its world famous event more sustainable and so for the second year is organising a special exhibition called "Le Mans vers le Futur" devoted to showcasing the Le Mans racing cars of the future. The displayed cars, including the CR-Z hybrid coupe, will also ran demonstration laps around the track before the start of the official race.
