Ford Motor Company will deliver the keynote address — “Talking Cars: The Connected Vehicle in a Connected World” – at M-Days, Europe’s leading mobile solutions and technologies conferences, on Tuesday in Frankfurt, Germany.
“Mobile connectivity is the key to integrating our future transport networks,” said Pim van der Jagt, managing director of the Ford European Research Centre, who will deliver the keynote address. “Cars that communicate both with each other and with transport infrastructure can potentially reduce road congestion and CO2 emissions and also the risk of collisions.”
Experts from the Ford European Research Centre are involved in projects that aim to leverage mobile communications to improve safety and efficiency on Europe’s roads, including simTD (Safe Intelligent Mobility – Testfield Germany), and DRIVE C2X (DRIVing implementation and Evaluation of C2X communication technology in Europe).
