Cea de-a sasea editie Effie Romania si-a desemnat castigatorii in cadrul Galei de Premiere ale carei gazde au fost, ca in fiecare an, International Advertising Association (IAA) şi Uniunea Agenţiilor de Publicitate din România (UAPR).
Brands & Bears, Leo Burnett & Target, GMP Advertising, Next Advertising, Papaya Advertising, Scala JWT, Lowe & Partners, CAP, Unilever, Graffiti BBDO, Propaganda, Publicis, Grey Romania, Odyssey Communication si Proximity sunt premiantii editiei 2009.
Cea mai de succes agentie a acestei editii a fost Papaya Advertising, care, la prima participare in competitie, a obtinut 6 premii, inclusiv trofeul Grand Effie. Campania “A Drop of Style in Your Life”, semnata de Papaya pentru brandul Cava D’Oro, a fost premiata cu Gold Effie la categoria Alcoholic Beverages si in sectiunea speciala David vs. Goliath. Urmatoarea clasata in topul agentiilor, Leo Burnett & Target, a castigat 4 trofee, iar Graffiti BBDO si Next Advertising, cate 3.

Competitia a oferit cadrul in care mai multe campanii de comunicare (peste 60) au fost supuse jurizarii. Scala JWT, Proximity si Brands & Bears, aflate si ele pentru prima oara in randul participantilor Effie, au obtinut Bronze Effie (campania “Campus – New Variants Launch”, categoria Non-alcoholic Beverages), Gold Effie (campania “The suitcase”, categoria Promotions Non-FMCG Services), respectiv Silver Effie (“Redd’s Launch Campaign”, sectiunea speciala New Product or Service Introduction).
