“Ford vehicles are subjected to extremely rigorous durability testing to offer continued high levels of reliability – even in the face of the most demanding customer usage,” said Barb Samardzich, vice president, Product Development, Ford of Europe. “DEKRA is an incredibly well-regarded organisation, and we are very proud of the recognition we have received in the Used Car Report.”
The Ford C-MAX achieved an unbeaten DEKRA Fault Index (DFI) value of 97.7 to be named “Car of the Year” alongside the BMW Z4 that achieved the same value, and ahead of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class that came third. The Ford Focus achieved a value of 97.3 to top its category.
