ŠKODA has introduced an attractive, sporty new version of the Fabia – the Monte Carlo – to mark the 100th anniversary of the Monte Carlo Rally.
Visually modified in many of its details, this new version is not only a tribute to the current success enjoyed by the Fabia Super 2000 in the international IRC and other rally events, but is also a homage to the company’s long history of motor sports as it celebrates the 110th anniversary of its first ever race in 2011.
The sporty design of the Fabia Monte Carlo’s front bodywork is the main crowd-puller. The black headlights and fog lamps match the frame of the radiator grille, the door mirrors, the roof, the rear spoiler and the Comet 16" alloy wheels with 205/45 R16 tyres. The sporty character of the Fabia Monte Carlo is rounded off by the delivered-as-standard sports chassis and Sunset higher density glass tinting in the rear of the car.
The interior is identical to the RS sports version. The precision-adjustable front sports seats provide the driver with excellent lateral support and their ergonomically correct shape prevents fatigue, even on long journeys. Seating with red central sections can be delivered as an alternative to the standard black upholstery. The small leather package includes a leather finish for the three-spoke sports steering wheel, the gear shift lever, and the hand brake grip, complete with red stitching. The front doors are decorated with sill covers and the pedals are of stainless steel with rubber anti-slip plates.
The colour range has been selected to reflect the vehicle’s character and the roof, which is painted entirely in black. The Fabia Monte Carlo is available in two basic shades of Candy White and Corrida Red, in the metallic paints Brilliant Silver, Black Magic, Anthracite Grey or Cappuccino Beige, or in special Sprint Yellow. Black Trinity 17" wheels are available as an option. Roof rails are not available for the Fabia Monte Carlo.
The Fabia Monte Carlo, as a special model to commemorate the 110th anniversary of ŠKODA’s involvement in motor sports, is an impressive nod to the brand’s sporty genes. In this respect, the dynamic styling and quality equipment are closely associated with ŠKODA’s presence on the podium of many racing events. The highly emotional design of this compact sports car fulfils customers’ desire for individuality. This trend of individualization is well ingrained at ŠKODA and promotes its sustained growth.
