25th International Festival of Creativity Golden Drum will under the slogan “Revealing the fuel of inspiration” celebrate his jubilee anniversary in a company of exceptional people. One of them is also Slovene David Pivk, who joined Nike at its European headquarters in Amsterdam where he spent the last 6 years of his career and works with world’s biggest football athletes and creates engaging stories. More than 30 world class speakers have been announced, which is surely a good reason for visiting the festival between 17. and 19. October 2018 at the Hotel Slovenija, Portorož. Delegates can choose between various types of registration passes and until 13 August 2018 they can also catch the Early Bird registrations.
Golden Drum Festival will host a Brand Communication Director at NIKE EMEA David Pivk, who has worked on World Cup and European Football Championship at the Sochi Winter Olympics campaign. He is passionate about sport and new technologies and will speak about World Football Championship in Russia at the Golden Drum podium. He will be joined by Evgeny Primachenko, Creative Director at Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam, who also works with Nike. Evgeny received numerous awards and was twice named as the most awarded creator of Russia and “The Person of the Year” in Russian ad industry.
The 25th anniversary will be marked by an exceptional congress program and among them we can also include Barry Wacksman, EVP and Global Chief Strategy Officer, R/GA from New York. Since joining R/GA the company has grown organically from an agency of under 50 employees to one employing over 2,000 staff. Barry is a key architect of R/GA’s vision of the “Connected Age”, which focuses on growing brands through a connected ecosystem of products and services. Barry is the co-author of Connected by Design where he developed the concept of Functional Integration to describe the business models of market leaders like Apple, Google and Amazon as well as the emergence of new categories like the connected home, the connected car and connected financial services. In the 2015 R/GA became the Agency of the Year at the Cannes Lions Festival.
Delegates will have an opportunity to listen to Maria Milusheva, Creative Director and Partner at Nobel Graphic TBWA and member of WHAT jury. She will inspire them with the talk »PMS jokes are not funny. Period.« in which she is willing to share some of the questions that popped up in her head while making the biggest mistakes in her life. About leaving comfort zone to find magic will be addressed by Josefine Richards, President of the Young Drummers Competition Jury and Creative Director, INGO Stockholm, Sweden. Last year she was honored as one of the 10 Global Creative Directors on Adweek’s Creative 100 list and has won over 60 awards in the form of Lions, Pencils, Eggs and other desirable shapes.

Piran – Tartini’s town
Young creator under the age 30 can take a part in the traditional Young Drummers Competition for the best and most creative poster, with a motive and a slogan themed to strengthen the visibility of Piran as Tartini’s town. With a call for applications the City of Piran want to highlight that a city is a museum in itself and in a history was strongly marked by the presence of Tartini. Drummer who’s poster will fit to the conditions the most and catch the charm of Piran will receive the award worth 3.000 EUR from the City of Piran and one full registration for the Golden Drum Festival 2019. The entries made by Young Drummers will be judged by a five – member jury led by jury president Josefine Richards, Creative Director, INGO Stockholm, Sweden. She will be joined by jury members Mitja Bokun, Illustrator and Creative Director, Slovenia, Zofia Bugajna-Kasdepke, Business Development Director, MSLGROUP Central and Eastern Europe, Poland, Johannes Newrkla, Managing Partner and Co-Founder, Merlicek & Grossebner and CEO, Bluetango, Austria, Mag.
