A month has passed and our first Twitter Copy Contest (LINK //www.goldendrum.com/drummers/twitter-copy) is now over. We enjoyed each and every submitted slogan; many were good, some were great.
The slogan that received the most votes (63) was written by Romanian online strategist Sabina Ionescu, a.k.a. @isabinuta (LINK //www.twitter.com/isabinuta): “Golden Drum. We put ads on track. #gdcc“ (LINK //twitter.com/isabinuta/status/22533677910) As promised, the winner will be awarded with full registration fee for our festival. Congrats!
However, this is not the only award we decided to give away. We think many of you did a great job, but there were two participants (apart from the winner) who just can’t be left without anything. Nikolay Stoynov – @Stojnoff (LINK: //twitter.com/stoynoff), thank you for a very nice slogan and so many votes. Peter Bizjak – @PeterBizjak, thank you for the incredible engagement, some of your slogans were amazing (LINK //twitter.com/peterbizjak). You’ll both get a book, titled »15 Years of Golden Drum – The best of New European advertising industry 1994 – 2008«, this summer awarded with red dot award for communication design. We hope you’ll like it.
Some numbers before we go: sixty six slogans were submitted; almost four hundred tweets with hashtag #gdcc (LINK //twitter.com/#search?q=%23gdcc”) were published. According to @agregator (LINK //twitter.com/agregator/status/25130754597), #gdcc was the fourth most used hashtag in Romania the day before yesterday. Last but not least – the project enabled us to get in touch with about 300 new followers.
We really love the vibe that surrounds us on Twitter, thus we’ll definitely be back with another Twitter contest someday.
