20th Festival Golden Drum opens doors to best ads and creatives

The 20th Golden Drum International Advertising Festival of New Europe is once again about to set the pace of creative competition, learning and networking during its three outstanding festival days, from 9 to 11 October 2013 in Portorož and Piran on the Slovenian Adriatic coast. Two juries will seek out and award not only excellence in creative concepts and execution, but also genius loci, the spirit of the place embodied by advertisements and campaigns that manage to capture and reflect the cultural environment in which they were created.

To mark and celebrate its first 20 years, Golden Drum Festival will be challenging ads and creativity by looking back 20 years ago and discussing about how we see them today, but especially tomorrow and in the years to come. Golden Drum Program will be hosting people who contributed and made this award show possible. Moreover, the Golden Drum Festival is looking to become even more the key learning spot for young creatives and marketers and will try to live up to its motto "sharp competition, good school, crazy party and devilish challenge". On Monday, 1 July 2013, Golden Drum opened its online registration system for entries at www.goldendrum.com. Single Channel Jury will be presided by Enric Nel-lo, General Digital Creative Director, Grey Spain, Spain while Jaime Mandelbaum, Chief Creative Officer, Y&R Central & Eastern Europe, Czech Republic has been named President of the Multi Channel Jury. Entry deadline is 20 August 2013. Early bird deadline for personal participation is 16 September 2013.

Golden Drum Competition
This year’s competition will be, as before, divided in two sections, named Single Channel and Multi Channel, judged by two International Juries, featuring top industry professionals. Single Channel is for entries that excel in the most creative and efficient use of a single communication channel. Multi Channel is for entries that promote creative use and integration of more than one communication channel. This year there are two new additional competition groups H. Mobile (Single Channel) and T. Mobile Campaigns (Multi Channel).

Only entries from the following countries are eligible to enter the 20th Golden Drum Competition: Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. Golden Drum competition covers a region of over 400 million people from 37 countries.

Awards
Best entrants will be awarded with Grand Prix Awards, along with Golden Drum, Silver Drum, Golden Rose, Golden Net, Tartini Award, Brand Grand Prix, Golden Watch and Virtuoso Awards.
